Creative Retreat
The Creative Retreat offers a haven for holiday makers, artists and creative groups, throughout the year. Run by artists Carla and Bryan Angus, the Retreat provides tutored art holidays, delightful self catering accommodation and artists’ studios in the peaceful fishing village of Gardenstown, surrounded by awe inspiring landscape and acres of sky and sea.
The Retreat has two holiday homes for guests attending the residential art courses, or for hire to self-catering holiday makers visiting throughout the year. The smaller house, Bankhead, has one double and two twin bedrooms with lovely sea views, and the larger house, Stroma, boasts three twin and one double bedroom and two wc/shower rooms. As an added bonus, both holiday homes have their own private art studios for sole use of guests - perfect to get creative with the kids, get some time to yourself, or store golf, surf or walking gear.
Separate to the accommodation is our main teaching space, The High Street Studio, which is also for let and is regularly used by arts groups who find its excellent light, space and facilities the perfect place to teach a group, lead a workshop or have a meeting.
