Salix Pottery and Greenley Croft Wigwam
Greenley Croft Wigwam is a single en-suite Wigwam located on a small croft on the unspoiled Banffshire coast between the picturesque coastal villages of Pennan and Crovie.
The wigwam is situated in a field near the pottery which displays some of the unusual, individual pieces made by the owner Wenna.
Though Greenley is no longer a working croft we are surrounded by fields of barley, sheep and cows. The superb views from the wigwam can be enjoyed while sitting around the camp-fire.
Several walks start from the Wigwam itself, including the Five Farms Walk with its stunning sea views. Excellent beaches are just a short walk away, making Greenley Croft an ideal location for walkers, birdwatchers and beachcombers.
A small but unique working pottery is based here - Salix Pottery & Gallery (www.salixgallery.com). The ceramics by Wenna are mainly small, quirky sculptures inspired by the surrounding landscape and the people who live here. Wenna also makes textured bowls, cows and jugs. In addition there is a small display of prints, photos by Laura Crockatt and poetry by Ian Crockatt.
