Bridge-building at Banff landmark
Design work is under way on new features for a historic north-east bridge to help streamline the water flow. Shaped stone sections called cutwaters are to be fitted to piers on the 18th-century Banff Bridge.
The work is part of a £450,000 project to protect the catergory A-listed structure at the mouth of the River Deveron.
It is hoped the work will be carried out during Summer 2012.
