New Arts and Folklore Centre for Banff
A former stables block is the focus of plans for a £200,000 development at Banff Castle community centre. The aim is to produce a cultural practice and performance area while preserving a part of Banff's buildings heritage. Banff Community Association runs the castle - which is a mansion house - as a centre for local leisure and activity groups. Both levels of the two-storey stables block will be used for the folklore centre and there are also plans for a cafe with access to a walled garden.
