What a relief… Banffshire towns still have their own retail identity!
You won’t find ‘out of town’ concrete jungles here – but you will find local shops owned and run by local people. Bakers who still bake their own bread (and cakes!) and small outlets by the harbours selling today’s catch like, Downies of Whitehills.
Inland in Turriff you’ll find the multi department, family-run Celebrations for gifts, homeware and ladies and men’s fashion.
There are many artists selling their work from their own small painting and ceramics studios and Portsoy Marble sells gifts from their workshop. Quaintly, Annie’s gift shop in Fordyce is actually the owner’s dining room!
