Gardenstown
Further down the coast down from Macduff is Gardenstown, a small town in the historically rich parish of Gamrie, popular with holiday makers and artists as well as fishermen. On a slope on the outskirts of the town is St. Johns Chapel (AD1004), an ancient place steeped in history which once held the skulls of three Viking chiefs captured during the Battle of the Bloody Pits.
