Pennan

20 years on from the appearance of its red phone box in the film Local Hero, Pennan received the accolade in 2005 of being voted the best British film location. The phone box still has pride of place today and continues to attract fans of the film from all over the world.

It is easy to see why this traditional fishing village caught the eye of film makers with its painted cottages hugging the shoreline, cosy inn and dramatic cliffs.
