Disability Access

Banffshire Coast welcomes visitors with all disabilities.

Visitor attractions including the magnificent Duff House Country Gallery have disabled access and help is available for those with hearing and sight impairment.

The larger beaches at Cullen, Sandend and Banff links provide ramped walkways onto the sand and the lovely coastal walkway between Whitehills and Banff is suitable for wheelchairs users, a favourite place in the summer months to spot dolphins and Minke whales.

Whilst businesses in the area have all been working with the with the local access panel, it is wise to check facilities in the smaller hotels and restaurants in advance to save disappointment. A number of self catering operators have single floor accommodation; these can be found in the accommodation sector of the website. It should be appreciated that some businesses are without resources to install lifts etc but they will always be happy to offer an alternative service or advice on premises where these can be obtained.
